Larry Berg is a Senior Partner in Private Equity at 26North. Previously, he was a Senior Partner at Apollo Global Management from 1992 to 2022, overseeing the firm’s efforts in education, building products, and general industrials. He served as Chairman of McGraw-Hill Education and as a board member of ABC Supply, AMC Entertainment, Inc., Berlitz International, Connections Academy, Goodman Global, Jacuzzi Brands, Laureate Education, Maxim Crane Works, Rexnord Corp, Sylvan Learning Systems and University of Phoenix.
Mr. Berg is also Co-Managing Owner of the Los Angeles Football Club in Major League Soccer and a member of the Board of the LAFC Foundation. Larry graduated magna cum laude with a BS in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business and received his MBA from the Harvard School of Business. Originally from Cherry Hill, New Jersey, Larry lives in Los Angeles and New York with his wife, Allison, and two sons, Matthew and Zachary.
